The Garden School...

Quite a few years ago the guys over at "The Partners" design agency London saw a tree we made from Birch Plywood for another customer. It inspired them to add the tree into a scheme at "The Garden School" Islington.

Following on from a visit to the site we redesigned the original tree and turned it into more of a mini woodland.

The organic 3D shape was created in our CAD software, we then sliced it up into sections represended by individual layers of 18mm Birch Plywood (Fire Rated too). To give it a more natural feel the seat top is manufactured from English Oak all seamlessly joined together and with the live edge of the timber left intact on the interior of the seat. The trees were created from multiple layers of 18mm Birch Plywood bonded together.
